These Boots are made for STYLIN!

It's a new month, and not that I am counting, but week 4 since the USCIS has had my homestudy. So, maybe THIS IS THE WEEK that I get my I-171H. My new vow is to NOT be depressed when I go the mail and it's not there.

I ran into TJ Maxx today just to "look" and OMG, they have the cutest baby clothes. I found some very cute boots for Baby Kaz. I got 9-12 months. I hope they fit her. I hope that Baby Kaz is a "her" because these boots would look funny on a boy.

The more days that go by, the more tempted I am to pick up a lil something here or there.

GIRL STUFF IS SO DARN CUTE!!!

Thank you so much for your post. You are too kind. You know, if we would have gotten their one day later, Sophie would be living in France with another couple. You will go when the time is right but it does not make it any easier. I hated waiting and I was such a different person. I would be happy to talk to you and answer any questions you may have. I can also go over my packing list with you and make suggestions. I would totally shop but there are certain things I would get. For example, I bought tons of clothes 9-12 months but the key is buying them without feet. That way if they are small they will be a little short but if they are big you can roll the bottoms. I loved having those. Honestly, even if your child is 18 months, they will still fit. Also onsies are a must 9-12 months. The baby clothes there are sooo expensive...and not that cute. Another great thing to buy are denim overalls and jumpers. These are adjustable and Sophie wore her jumper all the time with little tights. It still fits her because I got a size 12-18 months. I am sooo glad I went with these things. i packed a ton of stuff and used all of it. In fact, everyone was borrowing stuff from us. Anyway, my cell is 847-542-5141 feel free to call anytime.

Love those boots! I understand the waiting and the buying thing. Now I'm into toys!

Its hard to be patient. I can't believe your I-171 didn't come in, but I guess its cause I'm waiting for you too- like watching and waiting for a pot to boil.

Your time will come, my time will come. I love Muriels blog too! Thank you Muriel for your wonderful blog, and advice! Suzanne

The boots are adorable. I too keep seeing all these wonderful clothes and things to buy, but keep resisting. We have such a wide age range. I just fear that I will buy all these cute baby things and then I will have a toddler. What is a girl to do?

Keep your chin up. I know the waiting is hard.

Those boots are so cute, and that is great advice from Muriel! (Thanks!) I'm sorry your I-171 hasn't come yet, but, like Muriel said, I am sure the timing will be such that you are united with the child who is meant to be yours. I keep telling myself that, too, but the wait is still tough! I'm glad you didn't get depressed this week!

The girl stuff IS just so cute!! I'm loving those boots. I can't wait till my kiddo starts walking and I can put her in all those great little dresses. (Right now the dresses REALLY dampen the mobility thing!)

Muriel's advice is very good. Adjustability is great. Our travel partner's baby and ours were born 6 days apart. We all arrived when they were just over 6 months. Gia was 18 pounds, and our TP's son was only 12 pounds. Amazing how they vary so much, and are all still perfect!

P.S. Cheese curds are like great big cottage cheese pieces (but dry), dipped in batter, and then fried. The first one is awesome. The second is a little salty and greasy. The third turns your stomach. So worth it!!! :-)
