Focus

It seems like all the kids from Kaz that I've come to know are ALL not just beautiful, but athletic, smart, headstrong, and, of course, sassy.
I started Leeza in gymnastics mostly just to give her the exposure, and to help wear my high energy girl OUT a little bit. We started right when we could, at 18 months, but quickly realized that she was too young because waiting our turn, and listening, or lack of, made for a very long and miserable class (for Mommy). We tried again 8 months later, and she did SO much better. Of course, as I think is typical for most 2 1/2 year olds, some days are better than others, and, this can change from second to second on a daily basis.

There are some classes when I SWEAR I am pulling her out, and others where I am beaming with pride. :) When she decides to focus and pay attention, I can really see how strong she's getting! I am excited to see her when swimming lessons start up again. She is so much stronger and more verbal than last summer so I think once she gets her "feet wet again" so to speak, she will rock the pool. I hope so, because swim team is a GREAT actitivity that will wear her lil butt OUT. I swam on the swim team and remember the morning work outs well, and they chilled us out for the rest of the day. That's what my Leeza needs!

In other news, her preschool has a "summer camp" from 9-12 for 4 weeks this summer! YAY! It's very inexpensive and I know she will have a BLAST! She is SIGNED UP! With camp, swimming lessons, the beach, and hopefully other activities, I can continue to keep her busy and hopefully worn out so she will sleep at night.

We decided at her haircut to let her bangs grow out. We'll see how this guys. If she keeps throwing her bows, I know it will drive me absolutely insane to have her in her eyes all the time. She was looking in the mirror when I was trying on some khaki's in Old Navy yesterday and said "Eeza has blue eyes". I said "yes you do" and she says "Eeza has pretty eyes". Yes you do my sweet, but don't turn into some vain lil hot shot cuz people will defintely hate you cuz you're beautiful. Don't be a snob! :)

My baby girl is getting some hair!!

So, I guess because when I finally got to bring my gorgeous "Baby Kaz" home, and I dressed her as girly as I could, and was so proud of her, yet I got SO MANY people telling me "how cute he is", that I got obsessed about Leeza's hair, or lack of.

It has really started to grow, especially after she turned 2. After she turned 2 1/2, it has really really started to grow. No one has called her a boy in probably a year, yet, I still covet all my friends and their gorgeous lil girls long pretty hair.

Maybe, our time is coming. :) Of course, I don't know how to do girl hair. I don't know how to braid or anything! I have always had low maintance hairstyles just for that reason. Leeza will probably have one too, but I'm still happy her hair is growing. It's so pretty! :)

People stand in line...to see the boy king!!

ahhh, a rare photo session with my precious lil boy..oh wait, he's 12. :) Sean got dressed up in a skirt today...and GIRL SHOES, to portray KING TUT, in Historical Figure day at Tyrone Mall. This was part of a project in history. They had to write a paper, do a project, and dress up as their character. It was really fun for the kids and a unique way to learn. Plus, Sean was hilarious. :)

Thank goodness I noticed last week that his toenails were so long they were hanging over his toes. I know, disgusting right? He is 12. How long do I have to cut his toenails? He showed off his toes in his pretty sandals today. Watching my boy walk in those gold shoes and in a skirt was quite comical this morning.

and, um, King Tut? your basketball shirts were showing under your skirt.

love this picture. We went to the mall to see all the kids dressed up with their boards. leeza ran up to sean, but he was in a conversation with some dude.
look at him holding her hand. LOVE HIM. no wonder she loves him so much.

Touch a Truck is SO fun!!

I am not sure who has more fun doing all these "kid things"..Mommy or Leeza. :)
Today is a very sunny, warmish day in Tampa Bay so we headed to Dunedin for "Touch a Truck." I took the kidlets to the Donut shop first, but Sean wanted dropped off at home before we ventured onto Dunedin. Seriously, Sean? Why don't you want to go to Touch a Truck? Sean asked "Isn't Leeza going to be the ONLY girl at Touch a Truck?"
Um, no SEXIST BIG BROTHER, she won't be. Leeza is fairly girly girl, BUT, girls like to climb on big trucks and gaze at hot firefighters. :) The funny thing is, that when Sean was 2, he was so afraid of loud noises. All the kids honking the huge truck horns would have FREAKED HIM OUT. However, Leeza is not afraid of anything, unless, you are a bug. She has no problem with loud noises and she thinks big trucks are really really cool. :)

I took an impromptu photo session at the donut shop, but it cost me.I had to pay Leeza a penny and Sean a quarter.:)

After our fun photo session, off we headed to Touch a Truck. It was such a gorgeous day....warm, but with a nice breeze and lots of cute firefighters. :)
Leeza and Ryan got to climb in this HUGE crane and make it go from side to side and back and forth. It really was quite cool.

In addition to having control of the cockpit in the crane, Leeza got to sit in a Bayflight helicopter AND, have free ice cream, and sit in a garbage truck, a firetruck, honk a big truck's horn several times, graffiti a car, sit in lots of other trucks and EVEN A GO KART and SEE THE CHICK FIL A COW!! I mean, seriously, can you have any more fun for $2? I don't think so!!! She got to sit in a forklift too...heck, she could work in her daddy's warehouse now! The lady who was "manning" the forklift commented that when Leeza got up in the forklift, that was the "daintiest and most girly" girl she'd seen all day. AWW! Leeeza is so dainty looking..but she's TOUGH. Well, I thought she was tough until a girl smaller than her totally "manhandled" her on the lil playground area before Sean's football game last night. First, she kept grabbing Leeza from behind and picking her up and kind of throwing her. THEN, she kept SHOVING and pushing Leeza until she fell down. I swear this lil girl must have some big brothers. I asked her to stop, but sweet Leeza kept wanting to play with her. The third time she shoved Leeza over, I got pissed and picked up Leeza and bought her M&M's and we just sat in the bleachers to wait until Sean's game started. I was SO PISSED. Ok, anyway, here are some pictures of Leeza's fun day "touchin trucks" and running "amuk" :)

We had a blast at Touch a Truck. I pretty much had to drag Leeza outta there. Within 5 minutes of being in the car, she fell fast asleep. Sadly, 30 minutes or so later when we arrived home, she was done with that. I really miss naps. However, I have noticed, if we take "scheduled" naps like we used to "back in the day", I cannot get Leeza to go to sleep. She is already a night owl, and her "natural Leeza" clock has her sleepy at around 10 pm. If she takes a nap, that moves it to 11 or later, and Mommy gets up at 5...I so can't do that. She normally sleeps from 10 pm until 9 am, sometimes later if she's really tired. So, my job as her mommy is to keep her busy busy busy and try to wear it her out, so that at least, I get a 30 minute nap while she's in the car. By the way, my job, which has been called " a stay at home mom" is a total MISNOMER. We are rarely at home! I would not trade this job for the world, cuz I really do love it, but man, it can be EXHAUSTING. :) I worked full time when Sean was little, but he was my little napper...and had a HARD HARD TIME giving up a nap when he went to kindergarten. Leeza has always been a girl who LOVED her sleep, and she still does, but not during the day, and not until 10 at night. :)
Love you sweet Leeza, my active child o mine. :)
