A party fit for a princess!!!
Ahhh the princesses prepare for a birthday party unlike non other....because when Lori Printy plans a princess party for her girls...you bet it's OVER THE TOP PRINCESS PERFECTION!!! What better place for a princess' 4th birthday party then than Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom, complete with your princessy friends , also born in Kazakhstan, and their crazy mother's who dress them in princess gown to go to Disney? To quote Finley's mommy, Sandi, who said "I NEVER thought I'd be "one of those mom's" who brought their daughter to Disney in a princess dress". :) Frankly, I never thought about it but I have to say, I am a Disney lover myself, and have shed many happy tears watching my daughter and my son light up at the magic of the Disney. Sean and I spent many many happy days at Disney but this is my first foray into the world of princesses and it's' FUN!!
However, Leeza is more like a mean stepsister or the wicked stepmother than a sweet princess-but she can look the part WHEN SHE WANTS TOO. :) I don't see Leeza content to just wait around for her prince..she is not one to be pushed around, so, I suppose, her sassy lil defiant nature will serve her well. :)
Leeza was wearing her glass slippers, but since it was freezing cold (hence her hat), and she was running to keep up with the other Cinderella (Finley) and Sleeping Beauty (Sadie) before we even arrived at the Magic Kingdom to see Macy (Sleeping Beauty) and Nina the birthday princess (Snow White) all done up from the Bippety Boppity Boutique, we had to wear our Christmas boots instead, which I know do not match. Dart was disappointed in me, and we do have silver sparkly shoes that would have worked, but I did not think of that when I was packing, so please forgive me. :)
We finally made it to the Magic Kingdom, and BEHOLD...the Birthday princess....
and her sister, Macy Macy Smiley Facy, who wasn't so sure about this princess hoopla...
The Magic Kingdom was as crazy crowded as I'VE EVER SEEN IT! It was nuts!! We had to wait awhile to be seated at the castle, but since I was with my "besties", and our princesses could run, all was well with the world. :)
Once "summoned" into the royal castle, we got to take pictures with Cinderella. That was delightful. :)
The girls got to sit on the outside of the table for optimum princess coverage so they could get hugs and autographs as the princesses came around. We saw Belle (the nicest one), Snow White, Princess Aurora (sleeping beauty) and Ariel. The food was great and the company was even better. It was awesome seeing how excited the girls got to see the princesses.
After our yummy and special lunch, we tried to go do the park, but it was so unbelievably crowded we could barely walk, SO, we headed back to the Printy's hotel room where Nina gave all the princesses makeovers. It was hysterical. We had so much fun. :)
We decided to hit the parks with the Printy boys so we could ride some rides. We ended up staying and doing the freezing magic kingdom (Sadie, Leeza, Kristan and I) with Nolan, Keifer, Aidan, and Keifer's friend Ryan) until 1:30 am and got the girls back at our hotel at 2 am. Yeah..we're great parents aren't we? Two nights out until 2 am....but hey-I'm the kind mom who doesn't let Prime nap time spoil a good time, even if I have to deal with a tired cranky girl for days to come. :) What a wonderful time we had. I am so behind on posting the pictures but it makes me glad, once again, to have the goal to keep the blog updated for Leeza because as I go back to look at pictures and write about the fun times we had, it makes me more than ever grateful for such fun friends and great memories we're able to make with our girls!!
